Priya Impex specialises in all the steps involved in the Fibre to Fashions process. Dealing in raw cotton, man-made fibres, yarn, fabrics, and garments, Priya Impex have always involved in technology to improve their processes. Working with the worlds leading brands including Decathlon, Adidas, Jockey, Reebok, Walmart, Tesco and H&M.
THE CHALLENGE
Priya Impex run the core part of their business on a highly effective custom built ERP system. Serving the company well for many years, Priya Impex turned to Williams Technology to upgrade their ERP from ASP.NET to the latest version of .NET Core.
It was clear from our initial engagement with Priya Impex how well developed and evolved their aging ERP was. Clearly it offered great value to the business, and due to it’s highly custom nature it had really helped streamline business processes over the years. Through our analysis and knowledge of the ERP market, an off the shelf solution would not fit the requirements and would be significantly more costly from a migration perspective, Our focus would be on modernising this critical legacy business application.
In this phase, the project was an upgrade with the aim of improving performance, stability and future proofing. A second phase would address new functionality. The ERP system modules include: Order Management, Finance Management, Reporting, Commission and Fund Flow Forecasting and a Reporting Dashboard.
Working with our highly skilled .NET software development team, led by a senior architect, we undertook the process of upgrading the aging code from ASP.NET to .NET Core.
THE PROCESS
Williams Technology delivered the bespoke software solution using an Agile Methodology, moving to an ongoing programme of Continuous Development.
The .NET Core upgrade successfully delivered improved performance and resilience, allowing Priya Impex to now continue to run their Business Management System and extend functionality in a robust way moving forward.
